The client asked for a good sized terrace for sitting out, relaxing and enjoying the sunny aspect of the garden while maintaining a large lawn for kickabouts with the kids.

A complete garden renovation was required including closeboard fencing, turfing, replanting and extensive hard landscaping including a paved terrace bordered by three garden walls with steps leading down to the ‘football pitch’. These walls, intended to form a level of separation from terrace to lawn, contain flint panels to add visual interest to an otherwise flat expanse of brickwork.

Densely planted beds of perennials form a buffer between paving and brickwork, adding much needed movement and colour.
