CAVERSHAM

On completion of house extension work, the client’s front drive and borders were in need of some attention.

The brief: ‘Parking for three vehicles (in line) and renovated planting areas with a request that the driveway should not dominate the entire site’

With this in mind, existing planting areas were expanded with an island bed creating two routes to the front door for pedestrian visitors and car users.

The new planting scheme has an emphasis on form and texture with flower colour being predominantly white. A mix of shrubs, perennials and bulbs are used for a long season of interest.

An overgrown hedge was pruned hard back and interplanted with mixed native hedging to create an ideal nesting site.
